Is there a replacement functionality for Workplace collaboration / sharing / invites? I've heavily utilized the sharing and collaboration functionality. Sharing websites / research / work through OneNote and/or MS Loop doesn't work as well.

I am a mac user and boy did this workspace feature make a difference in my work but now it is a mess! Please bring it back Microsoft!

The upgrade ruined my workspaces too. Something broke with the sync. So now I have 0 workspaces with 0 warning that this was going to happen. This does not make me want to spend time setting up Microsoft products as my baseline toolset. My trust is completely broken due to the fact that there was no recovery path for me.

Lock tab feature is very much bread and butter in IT-service jobs, ticketing system related jobs as well as personal use, I hope they bring it back. Unbelievable.

What frustrates me most is that Workspaces wasn’t broken. It didn’t need reinventing. Workspaces was one of the few browser tools that actually made workflow smoother instead of more complicated. The new alternative feels like a step backward. Instead of enhancing productivity, it adds friction.

I hope Microsoft reconsiders this decision or at least brings back the Sharing & Collaboration features that make Workspaces so great.

I strongly advise to make your voices heard about this. I'm not even sure Microsoft understands that this feature alone makes it a standout among all other browsers. The closest thing I could find is Vivaldi but its only 50% there (no syncing, no sharing, no AI tabbing etc).

Please press ALT + SHIFT + I or click the **... **> **Help and feedback **> and select Send feedback **

And explain how if they remove these features, you have no reason to continue using Edge and link this post. I know it may not seem like it, but this is exactly why Microsoft has Nightly and Dev versions -- they are relatively receptive when enough people reach out.

Abandon all hope ye who enter here. Microsoft doesn't care about this. It is seen as non-revenue generating. To bring it back means they have obviously discovered a critical, exploitable flaw and rather than spend the time to document, report and money to fix it they just disabled the insecure parts by removing them. Anyone remembers "Fetch"? Too many other feature to mention that Mother Microsoft has giveth, and then taketh away. Mother Microsoft knows what is best for us. The replacement is to $pay for Teams business subscription and make a channel to stuff and share.

Ditto. Was sole reason moved from Chrome 2 years ago. New “interface” is rubbish. Forcing background color (that provided a nice visual indicator of each workspace) to be background colour of tabs and menu etc is horrible. No control over workspace list order and reduced number visible- this is a significant step backwards for what was the best feature of Edge

Ditto. I'm really missing the shared / collaboration functionality.

The sharing functionality was a key part of our workflows at work and home.

Shared research, shared OneNote notebooks, shared whiteboards, shared documents, ... all through Edge.

I've not found a replacement way to do this.
