The Microsoft Azure Q&A Champions Program recognizes and empowers a global community of internal and external Azure experts who help customers succeed by providing high-quality, trusted answers on Microsoft Q&A. The program scales expert led community support for Azure by combining human expertise with AI driven workflows, enabling faster, more consistent, and more trustworthy answers at scale - while strengthening the overall Azure support ecosystem. As Microsoft Q&A evolves toward AI-led answer experiences, Q&A Champions play an increasingly critical role as quality stewards, moderators, and AI governance partners, ensuring that answers customers rely on remain accurate, safe, and authoritative.

Why the Q&A Champions program matters
Azure customers ask tens of thousands of technical questions on Microsoft Q&A every year. Many of these questions can be resolved quickly and effectively through community expertise, when guided by the right quality standards and tooling.
The Q&A Champions Program helps Microsoft:

How the program works
Who Are Q&A Champions?
Q&A Champions are trusted Azure experts, including:
- Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs)
- Microsoft engineers and subject matter experts
- Partners and external Azure specialists
- Highly active and high quality community contributors
Champions are selected based on quality, consistency, and impact - not just volume of answers.
What Champions do
Champions contribute across several evolving roles:
- Answer Azure questions with accurate, clear, and actionable guidance
- Validate and improve AI-generated answers, especially on high impact threads
- Moderate and steward quality, including tag hygiene and community standards
- Provide feedback that helps improve AI answer systems and workflows
- Mentor new contributors and help grow the expert community
As AI generated answers become more prevalent, the Champion role shifts from “how many answers are written” to “how much trust, accuracy, and learning is enabled at scale.”
Benefits of becoming a Q&A Champion
