    Hi @Pranav Jain

I hope you’re having a great day. I appreciate your patience and the details you provided.

    A - What's happening

Based on your description, learners are able to join the Microsoft Teams session through Adobe Learning Manager (ALM) and can view screen sharing without any issues; however, the instructor’s camera video is not visible when joining from desktop devices that do not have a built‑in camera.

I’d like to clarify an important point: not having a camera on a desktop device should not prevent a learner from viewing the instructor’s video. A camera is only required to send video, not to receive it. When screen sharing works but the instructor’s video does not appear, it usually indicates a configuration or environment-related limitation rather than a hardware issue.

In most cases, this issue is caused by disabled incoming video settings, limitations of Microsoft Teams when accessed in an embedded Adobe Learning Manager environment, device or Teams client rendering issues (such as graphics or hardware acceleration problems), or organizational network, proxy, firewall, or policy restrictions affecting Teams video streams.

    B - Recommended next steps

I recommend trying the steps below:

First, please try joining the same session outside of Adobe Learning Manager, either by opening the meeting directly in the Microsoft Teams desktop app or by using the Teams meeting link in a supported browser such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.

If the instructor’s video displays correctly outside ALM, this would indicate that the issue is likely related to the ALM embedded experience.

Second, while in the meeting, please check the Teams meeting options to ensure that “Turn off incoming video” (or a similar setting) is not enabled.

Third, I suggest performing a few basic checks on the affected device:

    • Confirm Microsoft Teams is updated to the latest version.
    • Update the graphics/display driver.
    • If using the Teams desktop app, try disabling hardware acceleration and restart Teams.
    • If the device is using VDI, Remote Desktop, or Citrix, please confirm whether Teams media optimization is enabled.

    C - Contact Support

If the issue still persists after trying the steps above, I recommend contacting your school’s IT department/helpdesk. They will be able to check device settings, Teams policies, or network restrictions that may be affecting the video experience in Microsoft Teams, especially when accessed through Adobe Learning Manager.
