    Hi @GAMBOA, ARIADNA

Thank you for reaching out regarding the file upload issue in Viva Engage. I truly understand how important it can be when something that should be simple doesn’t work as expected, especially after trying multiple file formats.

An “error uploading file” message can usually be related to one of the following. Please try these quick checks:

    1/ File size & type

    • Make sure the file is under the size limit supported by Viva Engage.
    • Commonly supported formats (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, JPG, PNG) work best.
    • You can find more details here: Attach files and images in Viva Engage

    2/ Browser check

    • Try uploading the file using a different browser.
    • Cache management: Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then sign back into the Viva Engage portal. To do this, please follow these steps:
      1. Launch the browser, and press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to open the Clear browsing data utility.
      2. Now, select All time from the Time range dropdown menu, tick the checkboxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then click on Clear data towards the bottom.

    3/ Network or security restrictions

    • If you’re on a corporate or restricted network, security policies (firewall/proxy) can sometimes block uploads.
    • If possible, test the upload from another network to rule this out.

4/ Sign out and back in

    • Sign out of Microsoft 365 and Viva Engage, then sign back in and retry the upload.

    5/ Mobile vs web

    • If you’re using the Viva Engage mobile app, please try uploading the file via the web version, or vice versa.

Microsoft has documented file upload requirements and limits for Viva Engage. Please refer to the articles below for supported file types, size limits, and troubleshooting steps:

Note: Please understand that my initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Additionally, as other users have raised similar concerns and may not be aware of where to share their feedback, I hope this response helps clarify the situation and suggests a potential next step. Highlighting this information can make it more visible to others in the community who may be facing the same issue, making it easier for them to find guidance and contribute their feedback as well.

Thank you again for your time and for raising this important usability concern. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

I look forward to your thoughts on this.
