I have emails that keep going into spam even after marking them as safe. How can I get this to not happen?

Thanks. I assume that your Email address is *@dahlensign.com, correct?

    Hi Dan,

May I know who the Email provider of the account is?

If it is an Outlook.com account, may I know if you have configured another Mailbox in Outlook?

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

Follow these steps to stop legitimate email from going to Junk/Spam:

    1. Check and correct messages already in Junk
      1. Open the Junk Email folder.
      2. Select the messages that should be delivered to Inbox.
      3. Select It’s not junk. If certain the message is safe, also select Show blocked content and enable links.
      4. This both moves the message back and helps improve spam detection.
    2. Add the sender to Safe Senders
      1. Make sure the sender is not in the Blocked senders list. If they are, remove them there first.
      2. Add the sender to the Safe senders list so their messages are never sent to Junk:
        • In Outlook on the web: SettingsMailJunk email → under Safe senders and domains, choose Add safe sender, enter the email address or domain, select OK, then Save.
        • In Outlook Web App (classic): SettingsMailBlock or allow → under Safe senders and recipients, enter the email address or domain and select Add, then Save.
    3. Check for rules moving mail to Junk/other folders
      1. Review Inbox rules to ensure there is no rule moving or deleting messages from that sender or with certain keywords.
      2. Remove or adjust any rule that diverts legitimate mail.
    4. If messages still go to Junk
      1. Verify again that the sender is not on the Blocked senders list.
      2. Continue marking such messages as Not junk and keep the sender in Safe senders; this trains the filter.
      3. If using Microsoft 365/Exchange, an admin can review anti-spam policies and message headers to see why mail is being classified as spam and adjust anti-spam policies accordingly.

Note: Server-side junk filtering can still override local settings. Safe senders and “Not junk” actions reduce this, but cannot completely disable spam filtering.
