My DevOps login is looping

I think I messed up reassigning my phone number and emails between two differrent accounts. An old one tied to Local Admin on my PC from over 5 years ago. And the more recent one thats got my Microsoft 365, GitHub/Copilot, DevOps, and Azure linked to them. So some of this is working, but some just loop around and around. So I think its seeing my same email aliase on one and jumping to the other which then fails.

You're stuck in an infinite Azure DevOps sign-in loop because you’ve got two accounts sharing the same email alias. Azure DevOps will only accept your exact UPN (work or personal) and can get confused if you flip between aliases. Here’s what you can try:

Fully sign out of all sessions

Go to https://aka.ms/vssignout to sign out everywhere.

Close all browser windows (and VS/VS Code if you’ve connected there).

Clear browser state or use a private window

Delete cookies (Ctrl + Shift + Delete in most browsers).

Or open an Incognito/InPrivate window and go straight to your org’s URL: https://dev.azure.com/<YourOrganization>

Sign in with your exact UPN, not an alias

If your Microsoft Entra UPN is ******@contoso.com, you must sign in with ******@contoso.com, not ******@contoso.com.

On the profile page (https://app.vssps.visualstudio.com/profile/view), confirm whether you’re using a “Microsoft account” (personal) or your work (Entra) account and switch accordingly.

Check tenant and guest status (if applicable)

If your org is backed by Azure AD, make sure you’ve accepted any B2B invitation in that tenant.

Use the tenant selector on your profile page to switch to the tenant that owns the DevOps org.
