I just bought a KODAK i1220 Scanner and will try to connect it to my Windows 11 but there are no direct drivers available online. Do you have any solution on this? Thanks

Hello. Drivers are from manufacturers, not from Microsoft. I just reviewed the support status for this model, looks like Kodak has stopped driver support for this model since Win10. Sorry, there won’t be a solution from Microsoft.

Kodak i1220 requires a compatible Windows driver. If the manufacturer does not provide a Windows 11–compatible driver, the scanner may not work fully or at all on Windows 11, especially on newer architectures like Snapdragon-based devices where only specific drivers are supported.

    Try the following steps:

    1. Let Windows try to install a driver automatically
      1. Connect the scanner via USB and power it on.
      2. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
      3. Select Add device next to Add printer or scanner and wait while Windows searches.
      4. If the scanner (or a generic scanner device) appears, select Add device to install it.
    2. Check Windows Update for optional driver updates
      1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options.
      2. Ensure Receive updates for other Microsoft products is On.
      3. Under Additional options, select Optional updates.
      4. If a scanner or imaging device driver is listed, select it and choose Download and install.
      5. Restart the PC after updates complete.
    3. Verify scanner support limits on special hardware If using Windows 11 on a Qualcomm Snapdragon–based PC, only drivers specifically designed for that platform will work. Many peripherals only function if their drivers are built into Windows; if no compatible driver exists, the device will not work or will have limited functionality.

If none of these steps cause Windows to detect and install a working driver, and Kodak does not offer a Windows 11–compatible driver for the i1220, there is no supported way in Windows 11 to make that specific model work.
