How does one stop people starting a meeting AFTER a meeting has ended/concluded in Teams?

Virtual meetings tend to end early at times, this creates an issue where people sometimes join meetings after the meeting has ended. This results in embarrassment of notification to all meeting attendees that the meeting has recommenced and multiple iterations of attendee lists (when the options for an attendee list is selected). Is there an option to stop this? If not, should this be a feature request?

    Dear @Ajay Suresh Kumar,

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may encounter when using services/ products. After further investigation, I confirmed that this behavior is working as designed in the current product experience, and the feature you are requesting is not available at this time. Since this is by design, I suggest you submit feedback to request this feature so the product team can review it for consideration in a future update.

Microsoft places a strong emphasis on customer experience, and all feedback shared by users is taken seriously. Every comment matters, and product teams actively review customer input to help guide future decisions and improvements.

That said, as a Microsoft Q&A forum moderator, I am not involved in product design decisions and do not have visibility into or influence over the product development roadmap. While I understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, please know that your feedback is both acknowledged and valued.

To ensure this reaches the appropriate product team, I highly recommend submitting your idea through Microsoft Ideas · Community, which is the official feedback channel reviewed by Microsoft’s engineering and product teams. If multiple customers raise the same idea, it may increase the likelihood of consideration for future updates.

    How to submit your feedback:

    1. Visit Microsoft Ideas · Community
    2. Select Send Feedback
    3. Share your idea and describe how it would improve your experience

User's imageOnce submitted, your feedback will be reviewed by the relevant engineering teams and may be considered for inclusion in future product enhancements.

Please rest assured that you are not alone in raising this type of functionality. I will continue to monitor related discussions, and if any updates or announcements are made regarding this feature, I will be happy to share them with the community.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and for taking the time to help improve Microsoft products. If you have any further questions or need clarification, feel free to reach out.
