My account was hacked and I have lost access to emails and documents in there going back to 1997. I have contacted support several times, been sent around in circles by them and still have no access.

Is there anything that can be done to help me get access?

At this stage I would be happy with them forwarding all emails and documents to the new address and setting up a forwarding system so that emails to my old account will be forwarded to the new one. There has to be a solution!
