On March 5th we paid $ 105.49 for annual fee plus we paid $ 4.62 the same day for monthly payments. Why am i getting double billings?

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Kindly follow the guide on the official Microsoft website to investigate and locate the duplicate charge from Microsoft on this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-investigate-a-billing-charge-from-microsoft-398c5328-364c-d5e4-ea8f-f5ad60562a93

If you're able to find the transaction and if this happens to be a forgotten subscription renewal, you can check if it is eligible for a refund through this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription-67dca30b-b323-44d5-acc2-e02f9902c472

You may also try contacting Microsoft Support for further assistance in tracking the transaction:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Billing Issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

If you and the Support Team are unable to find the transaction in all of your accounts, you'll need to contact your financial institution/bank directly to dispute it, and they may process a refund, as this would be considered a fraudulent charge.

You may also need to have your card blocked and request a new one.

Thank you for your understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

The most common reasons for seeing what looks like both annual and monthly billing on the same date are:

    1. Change in billing frequency
If the subscription’s billing frequency was changed (for example, from monthly to annual or vice versa), this can effectively cancel the existing benefit/term and start a new paid term. That can result in:
      • One charge that covers an annual service period, and
      • A separate monthly charge for a different subscription or service period on the same day.
    2. Multiple subscriptions or orders
It is possible to have more than one Microsoft 365 subscription or order active at the same time (for example, one annual plan and one monthly plan, or a previous plan that renewed plus a new plan). Each order generates its own invoice and charge, so both can appear on the same date.
    3. Billing period alignment or changes
When billing periods or terms change (for example, renewal or migration between plans), Microsoft can generate more than one invoice in the same month or billing period, but for different service periods. One invoice may show an annual service period, and another a shorter (monthly) period.

To confirm exactly why both the $105.49 and $4.62 were charged on March 5:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft account and open Services & subscriptions to see all active and past Microsoft 365 subscriptions and their billing frequency.
    2. Open the order history and check the two charges on March 5. Verify:
      • Whether they are for the same subscription or different ones.
      • The service period shown on each invoice (annual vs monthly date ranges).
    3. If there is still a double charge for the same subscription and service period, use the billing support options to have the charges reviewed and corrected.

For unrecognized or duplicate-looking charges, Microsoft provides self-help and investigation tools:

    • Use the Manage your payments page and select Investigate next to the payment method to check for duplicate or unexpected charges and other accounts using the same card.

If the review confirms that there truly are duplicate charges for the same subscription and period, contact Microsoft Billing Support so they can securely access the account and process any needed adjustments or refunds.
