Good day @Johannes Christian Marvel Yefrianto and I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re facing.

If you’re no longer receiving the verification code or push notifications from Microsoft Authenticator, in most cases the best course of action is to contact your school’s Microsoft 365 administrator.

Please ask your administrator to follow the steps in this guide to revoke existing MFA sessions and require re-registration: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |… This process usually only takes a couple of minutes.User's image

Once completed, all previous sign-in sessions will be cleared. The next time you sign in, you’ll be prompted to set up Microsoft Authenticator from scratch, and you should start receiving the verification codes normally again. If needed, you may also want to ask them to add an additional authentication method (such as SMS or email) as a backup for future access.

If you’re not sure who your Microsoft 365 administrator is, this article can help you identify the right contact at your school: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

Please also note that this is a user-to-user support forum. I don’t have access to administrative tools or permissions to reset or modify MFA for your account, especially since it’s an account managed by your school. Only the authorized Microsoft 365 admin at your institution will be able to make these changes.

I truly hope this helps point you in the right direction and allows you to regain access to your account as soon as possible.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot Microsoft Authenticator not sending notifications for a school (work/school) account:

    1. Check phone notification settings
      • Ensure the phone is not in Do Not Disturb/Quiet mode, as this can block alerts.
      • Confirm other apps can send notifications. If no apps receive notifications, fix the phone’s notification or network settings first.
      • In the phone’s Settings, verify that push notifications are enabled for Microsoft Authenticator and that it is allowed to use sound/vibration if needed.
    2. Check network/connectivity
      • Make sure the device has a stable internet connection (Wi‑Fi or mobile data). Authenticator needs connectivity to receive push approvals.
    3. Test other accounts in Authenticator
      • If notifications work for some accounts but not the school account, remove just the problematic school account from Authenticator and add it again, allowing notifications when prompted.
    4. Use an alternate verification method (if available)
      • On the sign‑in screen, choose another verification option (such as SMS, email code, or a different method) if your school account has more than one method configured. After signing in, review and update your security info.
    5. If still unable to sign in
      • Because this is a school account, contact the organization’s Help desk/IT admin and explain that Authenticator notifications are not working and you cannot sign in.
      • Ask them to clear or reset your MFA settings for your account. After they do this, the next sign‑in will prompt to re‑register Microsoft Authenticator (scan a QR code, enable notifications, etc.).

If none of the above works and there is no alternative sign‑in method configured, only the school’s IT admin (via Microsoft Entra admin center) or Microsoft support (through the organization) can reset the MFA configuration; it cannot be bypassed from the app alone.
