By news widget, do you mean news feed? As mentioned in AI response, the news feed is indeed provided in the widget section in Windows 11. If you're not seeing it, click on the taskbar widget then go to Settings > Show or hide feeds then toggle on Feed. If it is not what you are looking for, could you share more details on what exactly are you referring to?

If Widgets are available on the system, they can be shown or hidden from the taskbar:
- Right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings, or open this shortcut: Taskbar.
- Under Taskbar items, look for Widgets and toggle it On to show the Widgets button (which includes news, weather, sports, finance, etc.).
Once Widgets are enabled on the taskbar, news and interests are accessed via the Widgets board:
- Select the Widgets button on the taskbar, or press Windows key + W.
- The feed includes cards for weather, top stories, sports, stocks, and other topics. These can be customized as described in the news and interests and widgets documentation.
If Widgets does not appear at all under Taskbar items, the context only documents how to turn Widgets on or off and how to use them; it does not provide additional steps for restoring the feature when the toggle is missing.
