Hello @MUHAMMAD RAFIQIN BIN ROSDIN,The message you’re seeing (“The credential is invalid”) is a sign‑in/authentication issue, and it usually means Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) is rejecting the credentials that Teams is trying to use.

Could you please confirm whether the issue occurs in the Teams app or on the Teams web version?

If the issue occurs in the app, sign out of Teams, fully close the application, clear the Teams cache by following this article: Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn, restart the device, and then sign in again.

If the issue occurs on the web, try to sign in using an InPrivate/Incognito browser window, clear your browser cache and cookies, try a different browser, and verify whether you can sign in successfully at https://office.com

In case all passed have checked but the issue still persists, kindly contact your IT Admin to check if your account still exists in the tenant and licensing status. If none of the steps would help, you will need to ask your IT Admin to create a support ticket on your behalf by following this article: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Note: Please understand that as a forum moderator, my primary goal is to provide helpful guidance and support through general troubleshooting steps. While I don’t have access to internal systems or test devices required to resolve backend/account issues, I truly appreciate your understanding of these limitations.

I hope you find this information helpful. If anything is unclear, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

Hello. Is your account a personal one (Hotmail/Outlook) or a corporate/school account?

Does this error happen only in Teams, or do you see it in other Microsoft apps too, like Word or Excel?

The error message indicates an issue with the credentials being used to sign in to Microsoft Teams.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Verify the username and password
      • Make sure the correct work or school account is being used.
      • Retype the password carefully and try signing in again.
    2. If the password might be wrong, reset it
      • Use the “Can’t access your account?” link on the sign-in page.
      • If a message appears saying to contact the administrator and that the password is managed on‑premises, the password cannot be reset from that link. In that case, use the “contact an administrator” option so the organization’s admin can reset the password.
    3. If sign-in still fails, contact the organization’s IT admin
      • Provide the full troubleshooting details shown, including:
        • Correlation Id
        • Timestamp
        • DPTI
        • Message: “The credential is invalid.”
        • Tag and Code
      • The admin can use these details with Microsoft’s Teams troubleshooting guidance and tenant logs to identify the cause.
    4. General Teams troubleshooting
      • If the account and password are confirmed correct, but Teams still does not work, use the Help → Report a problem option in the Teams app (if accessible) so logs and details are sent to support.

If the device is a mobile phone and the problem persists even with correct credentials, uninstalling and reinstalling the Teams (and Outlook, if used for the same account) apps has resolved similar sign‑in issues for other users.
