Windows UEFI Firmware Update (V2222) corrupted BIOS Supervisor Password - Lecoo N176A

Summary: After a mandatory Windows Update (LecooN176A - Firmware), my laptop's BIOS Supervisor Password logic was corrupted. Despite knowing the correct password, the system rejects it as incorrect, while the User Password remains functional.

Lenovo Bellator Fighter 7000, 8940hx, RTX 5060 laptops.

  • BIOS error, causing a Supervisor BIOS password error even when entered correctly. The user BIOS password works normally.
  • I don't know how to contact the manufacturer because warranty support isn't available in my country.

The Lenovo/Lecoo website only provides BIOS version v2020, but somehow Windows 11 found version v2222 and installed it on my machine, causing the error.

Does anyone have any information or assistance? Thank you very much!

    Hi think now,

Can you boot into Windows now?

If you can boot into Windows, you can re-flash the old version by official manufactural tool.

If you cannot, you need to bring your laptop to a repair shop. They will take out the BIOS chip, flash the BIOS then put it back to your computer. This is not a complex progress.

If you have any updates, please feel free to let me know.
