    Hello Dr. Nabeel Khalid

Thank you for your question regarding the Microsoft 365 and LinkedIn Premium offer. I can certainly understand your interest in this benefit, as LinkedIn Premium is a valuable tool for professional development.

The LinkedIn Premium promotional campaign was a limited-quantity offer specifically targeted at the student tier, and it officially expired in late February 2026. Because the program has ended, Microsoft is no longer issuing new activation tokens, even for newly verified students.

Additionally, please note the following regarding your specific account type:

    • Faculty Eligibility: Microsoft 365 Education (Faculty/Staff) licenses are managed under a separate tier from student accounts. This particular promotion did not natively include faculty members, and a LinkedIn Premium subscription is not a standard benefit of the faculty M365 tenant.
    • Alternative Options: While the individual Premium Career subscription is off the table, many institutions like the University of Central Punjab maintain separate enterprise contracts for LinkedIn Learning. I recommend reaching out to your campus IT Helpdesk to see if they provide faculty access to those educational resources.

I know this is likely not the news you were hoping for, but I hope this clarifies the current status of the promotion for your account type. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

The available context does not describe any general program that grants LinkedIn Premium automatically with a Microsoft 365 Education (student or faculty) subscription.

The only LinkedIn-related benefits in the context are:

    1. Integration of LinkedIn with Microsoft 365 apps and services (showing LinkedIn information on profile cards, etc.) by connecting accounts.
    2. A specific, time-limited promotion case where a user who subscribed to a Microsoft 365 1‑year free offer was supposed to receive a separate LinkedIn Premium offer email.

From the context, the only supported steps related to LinkedIn are how to connect LinkedIn with Microsoft accounts to see LinkedIn information inside Microsoft 365 apps:

    1. Open a Microsoft 365 app such as Outlook on the web.
    2. Open a profile card (for example, by selecting a person’s name or picture).
    3. Select the LinkedIn icon or section on the profile card (this appears only if the organization allows it).
    4. Select Yes, let's go / Continue to LinkedIn.
    5. Sign in to the LinkedIn account if prompted.
    6. Select Accept to connect the LinkedIn account with the Microsoft work or school account.
    7. When asked about data sharing, select Accept (or Not now to skip).
    8. Complete the setup with Got it/OK if prompted.

This connection does not itself grant LinkedIn Premium; it only enables LinkedIn data inside Microsoft 365 apps.

For the separate promotional LinkedIn Premium offers (like the 1‑year free LinkedIn Premium mentioned in the context), the process is:

    • After activating the qualifying Microsoft 365 offer, an email with the LinkedIn Premium activation link is sent within a stated time window.
    • If the email is not visible on a mobile client, check the same mailbox from another device (for example, a desktop browser), including spam/junk folders.

If no such promotional email exists in the mailbox, the context does not provide any additional supported steps to obtain LinkedIn Premium.
