    Hi Trevon Strom,

I understand how frustrating it is when you’re unable to access a game you own, especially when the message appears unexpectedly and even prevents using another account.

What’s going on Minecraft Dungeons relies entirely on a Microsoft account for authentication and game ownership. When that Microsoft account is locked due to “unusual activity,” access to the game is blocked automatically. This can occur even if you were not actively playing, as Microsoft account security can trigger a temporary lock after sign‑in attempts, device or network changes, or background service activity. In addition, Minecraft Dungeons uses the Windows/Xbox sign‑in environment. If the locked account is cached on your device, the game will keep trying to use it, which is why it looks like you can’t switch to another account.

    1, Unlock the Microsoft account

2, Clear the cached sign-in so the game can prompt again

After resolving the lock (or if you plan to use a different account), make sure the locked account is signed out everywhere:

    • Sign out of the Xbox app
    • Sign out of the Microsoft Store
    • Remove the account from Windows under Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts
    • Restart the device afterward. This clears the cached sign‑in so the game can prompt for a fresh account.

    3, Launch Minecraft Dungeons again

Once the account is unlocked or the cached sign‑in is cleared, the game should allow you to sign in normally.

Please also note that reinstalling the game by itself will not resolve the issue, as the sign‑in credentials used by Minecraft Dungeons are stored at the system and account level rather than within the game. Restoring access requires completing the Microsoft account recovery process, as account locks cannot be removed through community forums or user‑to‑user assistance.

I hope this clarifies what’s happening and helps you get back into the game.
