I have a handful of computers that are Entra ID Joined but they don't enroll in Intune (MDM). So I have policy configuration and policy compliance setup that won't work with these computers. I've tried everything I've found online to try to force the Intune registration, but nothing works.

I've:

  • Made sure that Auto-Enrollment was setup properly and set to All
  • Made sure that User has an Intune license by validating their Microsoft E3 license
  • Force a sync under Settings-Accounts-Access Work or School
  • Tried a force leave using dsregcmd /leave and rejoin

    Hello ISMS Manager,

    A few things to check,

    1. Make sure MAM user scope is set to none, if these are BYOD devices (MDM scope set to all). Refer to: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/intune-service/enrollment/windows-enroll#enable-windows-automatic-enrollment
    2. Are there any enrollment restrictions in place that could blocking the enrollment of these devices? Refer to: Overview of enrollment restrictions - Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn
Use the Intune built-in troubleshooter to find out the enrollment restrictions applied to the user/device. User's image
    3. Check the device status on Entra and Intune and check for the status, if there are any stale entries to be removed.

    Hope this helps!
