Hello!

I got the student promotion on this page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2026/01/15/college-students-now-get-12-months-of-microsoft-365-premium-and-linkedin-premium-career-on-us/ on 03/25, which offers a Microsoft 365 subscription and a LinkedIn Premium trial account for one year. My Microsoft 365 was activated immediately; however, I haven't yet received the verification email for the LinkedIn Premium account, and I would like help activating my LinkedIn Premium account.

Please let me know if you can help me with that.

Thank you.

    Hi Marisela,

If Microsoft 365 has already activated but the LinkedIn Premium benefit never arrives, there isn’t a self‑service way to resend or trigger the LinkedIn activation.

After checking all email folders (including Spam/Junk and Focused/Other), confirming the correct email address was used for the offer, and allowing some time for delivery, the next step is to contact Microsoft support so they can review the promotion status and coordinate with LinkedIn if needed.

    How to contact support:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Support.
    2. Type something like "Student Offer LinkedIn Premium" in the search box > Press "Get Help"
    3. Scroll down and choose "Contact Support"
    4. In Product and Services, choose "Microsoft 365 and Office" and select "Manage my Subscription" for Category > Press Confirm
    5. Use the Chat or Call option to reach a support agent.
    6. Be ready to provide:
      • The email address used to redeem the student offer
      • The date the offer was redeemed
      • Confirmation that Microsoft 365 is already active
      • Confirmation that no LinkedIn Premium activation email was received

Support can then verify the entitlement on the account and advise on the next steps for activating LinkedIn Premium.

I know this isn’t ideal, but support should be able to review the promotion and help get the LinkedIn Premium benefit activated.

Based on similar student Microsoft 365 + LinkedIn Premium offers, the LinkedIn activation email can arrive separately from the Microsoft 365 activation and may not appear correctly in some mail apps.

    Steps to try:

    1. Check all mail folders from a desktop browser
      • Sign in to the email account used for the promotion from a desktop browser (not a mobile mail app).
      • Check Inbox, Spam/Junk, Promotions/Other (if using Gmail/Outlook focused inbox), and any Filtered or Clutter folders.
      • In the mail search box, search for terms like LinkedIn, Premium, or Microsoft 365.
    2. Verify the correct email account
      • Confirm which email address was used when redeeming the student promotion.
      • Make sure the same email account is being checked for the LinkedIn Premium activation message.
    3. Try from another device or mail client
      • As seen in a similar case, the email may not show in a mobile Gmail/Outlook app but is visible when checking from a PC or Mac via a browser.
    4. If the email still cannot be found
      • Since the Microsoft 365 part of the offer is already active and the LinkedIn Premium email has not arrived after several days, support from Microsoft/LinkedIn is required to check eligibility and resend or reissue the LinkedIn benefit.
      • Use the support options included with the Microsoft 365 subscription (chat or phone) to contact support and provide:
        • Date the offer was redeemed.
        • Email address used.
        • Confirmation that Microsoft 365 from the promotion is active.
        • Confirmation that no LinkedIn Premium email is present in any folder.

Support can then review the promotion status on the account and advise on next steps to obtain the LinkedIn Premium activation.
