I am locked out of my Microsoft 365 Business Admin Center

The original global admin account was created as [Moderator note: personal info removed], but it is no longer recognized at sign in.

There is no other accessible global admin account.

My custom domain account [Moderator note: personal info removed] can sign in, but it does not have permission to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. User's image

    Hi Törehan Gören

The sign‑in message “This username may be incorrect” can occur if the username is entered incorrectly, so as a first step, please carefully re‑check the account name to ensure:

    • The spelling is correct
    • There are no extra spaces
    • The full suffix is used (not the custom domain)

If the username is confirmed to be correct and the error persists, this indicates that the original account is no longer recognized by Microsoft Entra ID for this tenant (for example, the account may have been deleted, renamed, or removed from the directory).

Unfortunately, there is no supported way to restore or assign Global Administrator permissions from within the tenant when no active admin accounts remain.

Please note that Microsoft Q&A is a public, user‑to‑user support forum. As a forum moderator, I do not have access to internal systems or the ability to recover, recreate, or reassign admin accounts.

The only supported recovery option is to contact Microsoft Support so ownership and identity can be reviewed through official verification. You can reach them directly by phone using the numbers listed here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support.

For security reasons, I’ve shared further details via Private Message. Please review it when you have a moment.
