    Dear team,

I don't have a long-term retention backup, and I am not able to reach the technical team. Can you help me with the process to connect to the team? It's a production DB, and it was deleted 3 hrs ago.

    Hello DLD Operations
To restore a deleted logical server in the Azure portal:

    1. Go to the Azure SQL hub in the Azure portal.
    2. Under Azure SQL Database, select SQL logical servers to open the SQL logical servers pane.
    3. On the SQL logical servers pane, select Restore from the command bar to open the Restore deleted server pane:
      1. Select the Subscription from the dropdown list.
      2. Select the Location of the deleted server from the dropdown list.
      3. Select a Deleted server from the dropdown list. The dropdown shows all soft-deleted servers available to restore within their specified retention period.
Screenshot of the restore deleted server pane in the Azure portal.
    4. Select Restore to restore the deleted server. The restored server has the same name and configuration as the deleted server. It's restored to its original state at the time of deletion. After the restore operation completes, the server is available in the list of active servers in the Azure portal.

    Hi,

Did you delete the Azure SQL Logical server and its database(s), or just the Azure SQL Database? If you just deleted the Azure SQL Database, please navigate to your Azure SQL Logical server in Azure portal. After signing in to Azure portal you may use link below to see list of your logical servers:

    https://portal.azure.com/#servicemenu/SqlAzureExtension/AzureSqlHub/DatabaseServer

Click on your logical server, next on left click on Data management -- Deleted databases. On the right side, click on the name of your deleted database, adjust options for restoring as needed, next click Review + create, then Create. It will begin restoring your database and you will see notification in upper right once it has finished.

If you deleted your Azure SQL logical server, did you have Long-term Retention backups configured? If yes, I can give you instructions for restoring your database. If no, you will need Technical support request so that backend engineer can restore your database,, assuming it hasn't been too long.

Please click Accept Answer and upvote if the above was helpful.

    Thanks.

    -TP
