Using Facilitator App in TEAMs and noticed that lines on the loop are duplicating. It is happened when I look at the meeting loop and also when I go in to the component. I scheduled the meeting so I was able to remove the duplicate lines but can see it reoccuring. This has been reported by other teams using this application in the company

    Hi @Mary Dowling

First, I’d like to clarify that this is a user‑to‑user support forum. Moderators participating here do not have access to backend systems, nor can we directly intervene in Microsoft product functionality. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance and sharing best‑practice recommendations based on reported issues, requests, and scenarios.

At this time, I haven’t been able to identify any relevant articles or misconfiguration that would reasonably explain the behavior you’re experiencing.

To resolve this, Microsoft’s support team will need to step in. A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation, verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can escalate it to a specialized team for deeper analysis.

Note: To create a support ticket, you need to have Microsoft 365 admin privileges and if you aren’t admin of your organization, please contact the admin of creating a new ticket.

As forum moderators, we don’t have access to the detailed logs or backend systems needed to troubleshoot this effectively due to privacy and security constraints. For that reason, the most efficient solution would be to contact Microsoft’s support team directly.

    Appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you have any additional concerns, feel free to comment below. I would be more than happy to assist.

The described behavior (lines in the Loop-based meeting notes duplicating when using Facilitator in Teams) is not documented as expected or configurable behavior in the provided material and appears to be a product issue rather than something that can be fixed through settings.

    Based on the context:

    • Facilitator uses Loop components for collaborative, real-time notes in Teams meetings, and those notes are stored as .loop files in OneDrive under a Meetings folder for the user who initiated Facilitator.
    • Loop components are designed to stay in sync across Teams, Outlook, Word, and other surfaces, so any duplication seen both in the meeting notes view and in the underlying Loop component suggests a synchronization or rendering defect, not a user error.
    • There is a known, separate Loop issue where printing/exporting does not include the full page, which has a workaround but confirms that Loop can currently exhibit UI/behavior bugs that require product fixes rather than configuration changes.

Given this, the appropriate next steps are:

    1. Treat this as a product bug rather than a configuration problem, especially since multiple teams in the organization see the same duplication.
    2. Capture clear repro details for support:
      • That the issue occurs in Facilitator meeting notes (Loop-based notes) in Teams.
      • That duplication is visible both in the meeting notes surface and when opening the Loop component directly.
      • Whether it happens only in specific meetings (e.g., recurring vs. single) or consistently.
    3. Escalate through the organization’s Microsoft 365 support channel or admin:
      • An admin can open a support ticket with Microsoft, referencing Facilitator in Teams meetings and Loop components, and attach screenshots and steps to reproduce.
      • Include that the meeting notes are created by Facilitator and stored as .loop files in the organizer’s OneDrive Meetings folder.

Until Microsoft provides a fix, the only available mitigation from the provided information is manual cleanup of duplicated lines in the Loop component, as already done.
