URGENT - Managed SSL Certificate for the custom domain of the API management service is expired

Hello

Managed SSL Certificate for the custom domain of the API management service is expired. I cannot update, it says the feature is disabled until March 15, 2026.

Please help, this is an urgent issue for us.

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

As per the update received from the APIM team, the issue is caused by a bug, and a work item has been created for the same. At this time, it’s uncertain whether the managed certificate can be recovered.

For fastest mitigation, it would be best to bring your own custom certificate and assign to service.

Solution:

Re-bound the domain with the cert created in Key Vault. It worked.

No, it doesn't help.

We cannot use the custom domain at all, however, it's saying it should be available until 4/15

Why it is expired already?

Why it can't be updated automatically like for other services? Is there a way we can prolong it for several months at least?

This affects all our APIs - please help! I updated most of services with the default URL but our webhooks don't likely work and cannot be changed quickly.

i think apim dropped it ’cause the managed chain’s trust‑path froze… just gen a tiny pfx (key+chain) for that host and bind it to bring tls back.
