My surface pro 7+ does not start into windows so I tried to boot into recovery but it will not do that. I made the recovery USB on my other computer (copying the files from the recovery zip to the root of the usb). I also can not get into the bios.

when I press power it starts with the surface logo (spinning circle) and then gives a message on the black screen "surface 7 pro device ran into a problem and needs to restart"

It will boot to windows 10 usb media but has an error when trying to install windows and i am back to where I was. It will also boot into a Hiren utility usb that I have but I don't know what tool to use to fix the problem (I checkt for disk errors but therre are no errors).

Can you please help me with this problem

regards Djacco

I shall suggest you go for a Clean Install.

    Visit:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surface-recovery-image

    Create Proper USB:

Download recovery image for Surface Pro 7+

    Format USB → FAT32

Extract ZIP → copy all files to USB root

    Insert USB

    Hold Volume DOWN + Power

    Release when Surface logo appears

    Choose:

Troubleshoot → Recover from a drive

    Select:

Fully clean the drive Reset or recover your Surface
