I have attempted to add a second account to my Teams app and unable to do so successfully as the error message reads along the lines of 'unable to sign in try later'.

Message: AADSTS7000112: Application ''(Microsoft Teams) is disabled.

Hi Thank you for the response. The above details the fault information which appears when I try to sign into Teams with another email account. The current account I use with Teams is a personal email. I am trying to add my business email account to Teams unsuccessfully - hence the above error message.

    Ref: your points above:

    1. Teams desktop
    2. Business
    3. No - still unsuccessful
    4. When i click on the business email address to access Teams via it then the above error message appears immediately.
    5. No - don't believe so.

    Secondary section items 1-5

All directions followed - still not working

Hopefully you can advise further in pursuit of resolution.

    Hi @James Kneafsey

If you are seeing an “unable to sign in, try again later” message when attempting to add a second account in the Teams app. This usually indicates that something is blocking the sign‑in process rather than an issue with the Teams app itself.

Since your information is not quite clear, could you kindly provide these following:

1/ Are you using Teams Desktop, Teams Mobile, or Teams on the Web?

2/ What type of account are you trying to add as the second account (work/school Microsoft 365 account or a personal Microsoft account)?

3/ Does the second account sign in successfully at https://teams.microsoft.com through a browser?

4/ Does the error appear immediately when entering your credentials, or only after authentication?

5/ Did anything change recently, such as a password reset, new device, or app update?

In the meantime, there are some recommendations that you can try to check if it can resolve the issue:

1/ Sign out fully from the Teams app, close it completely, and then reopen it.

2/ Clear Teams cache by following this article: Clear the Teams client cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn and login Teams again.

3/ Try adding the second account from a different device or through the web version to see if the issue follows the device or the account.

4/ Try to login to Teams in Private tab on your browser

5/ If you are on the Desktop version, check whether New Teams or Classic Teams is enabled, as account switching behaves differently between them.

While I don’t have access to internal systems or test devices required to resolve backend/account issues, I truly appreciate your understanding of these limitations.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you can provide more information above, I will be able to investigate further.
