It seems that with the recent update to Outlook for Mac it no longer capitalizes the first letters?

It seems that with the recent update to Outlook for Mac it no longer capitalizes the first letter of the first word in a sentence? How to turn this back on? Most of the responses talk about editor and editor setting but I do not see those on the desktop application for new outlook.

Hi Ryan, this issue is resolved, the other issue I asked about - placing a signature below the attribution has not been answered in a way that resolves the issue. - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5827978/email-signature-incorrectly-placed-below-attributi?page=1&orderby=Helpful&comment=answer-12672362&translated=false#newest-answer-comment

Regarding the second issue you raised, based on my testing environment, there is currently no option or setting in Outlook that allows changing the position of the signature.

In this case, please follow the steps provided by Flora‑T to report this issue to the Outlook development team at Microsoft. This will help the product team become aware of the issue and provide you with the latest updates.

Capital letter at the begin of a sentence works still only in Legacy OL, not in the New OL.
This is very surprising as this is basic.

When does MS plan to fix this in the New OL?

I would like to provide you with the following information:

Based on the current version of Outlook for Mac (16.107.1) that I am using, when you type the first letter and press the Space key, the first letter will be automatically capitalized

You can refer to the image below:

To enable this feature, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Click Outlook > Settings
Step 2: Click AutoCorrect
- Step 3: Make sure the Capitalize first letter option is enabled

In new Outlook for Mac, sentence capitalization is controlled by the Editor autocorrect settings.

To turn automatic capitalization back on when composing a message:

Start a new email or reply to an existing one.
On the message ribbon, select Editor.
Choose Editor Settings.
Use the toggle to turn autocorrect and auto capitalization on.

If using classic Outlook for Mac instead of the new experience, autocorrect is managed via Outlook Preferences:

On the Outlook menu, select Preferences > AutoCorrect.
Make sure Replace text as you type is selected.

In Outlook on the web (if composing there), the same Editor Settings panel is available on the ribbon of a new message under Editor > Editor Settings, where autocorrect and auto capitalization can be toggled on.
