Why get rid of the ability to lock tabs in workspaces?

Not sure why getting rid of the lock tab function would be an improvement?

I used it to organize multiple different tabs to create a "shortcut" function to navigate through different windows with ease, now everything is a mess and very difficult to navigate now.

Are there any other options? Or a possibility to bring that function back?

I have addressed this concern to the feedback portal, https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/eaf05bde-382d-f111-9730-0022485314bc

If anyone would like to add their concerns to this new forum, as it seems comments and concerns on this matter through this forum will not resolve the issue at hand.

All the feedback will help :)

I truly believe that this function should be restored, the removal of this function has had a noticeable impact on daily productivity. It was essential for navigating a large number of open tabs efficiently, and without it, completing work tasks has become more confusing and frustrating. Restoring this functionality would significantly reduce stress, simplify navigation, and support a smoother, more efficient workday.

Never going to recommend Edge to anyone again, Workspaces are now officially useless, no sharing and no tab locking, the only two features that made workspaces a thing! Idiots !!

The locking tabs feature was removed, confirmed in Microsoft documentation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/getting-started-with-microsoft-edge-workspaces-63a5a6d7-3db4-468f-aba8-fdd00dce4c35. See the table under the section, "How the new workspaces differs from the previous version"

Please restore the lock tab feature. I used it daily at work and for personal use and it was a HUGE help to me always.

The lock tab feature is so important for non-collaborative use, too!

I've used it as a shortcut for important tabs at work which worked like a charm. It increased my productivity a lot, as I was always sure that by "closing" the tab I will just go back to the initial state of that tab and that I never lose an important tab as these cannot be closed.

I always recommended my colleagues Edge because solely of this feature - everyone I've showed this feature was like "wow, this is really awesome!".

Please please please. Now Edge is pretty much "just like any other browser" to me. Why would you remove this feature? The pin tab feature does not satisfy my needs, as I can accidentally close it etc., and the favourites feature has a different use case and focus, too.
