I recently switched from Surface Laptop 5 to Surface Laptop 7 -15 Inches Snapdragon(R) Processor + Qualcomm GPU, but after that my dual monitor setup stopped working. Its working perfectly with Surface Laptop 5 but with Surface Laptop 7 I have to switch my second monitor to get display on my first monitor. In any condition I can only use one monitor. I bought Microsoft Thunderbolt 4 docking station with that also did not solve the problem the daisy chain setup still not working.

This is a very basic feature working perfectly fine with my old Surface Laptop 5 and must work as is with Surface Laptop 7.

Please provide a resolution.

Your old Surface Laptop 5 supported DisplayPort MST (daisy chaining) via Intel graphics.

The Snapdragon/Qualcomm platform generally does NOT support MST daisy chaining the same way—so only one external display works in that chain, exactly like you’re seeing.

Use independent video outputs (no daisy chain):

    Laptop > Dock > Monitor 1 (HDMI/DP) > Monitor 2 (2nd HDMI/DP)

Each monitor must connect directly to the dock, not through each other

Use both ports on the dock.

    Use DisplayLink Dock.
