If your email account is still linked with a Microsoft Authenticator app on an old phone that you don’t have anymore, how do you unlink it? Tried many possible ways

If you can still sign in, go to Security info at https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info, sign in using any remaining verification method, then delete the old Microsoft Authenticator entry (this immediately unlinks the lost phone).

If Authenticator was your only method, you cannot manually unlink it yourself—you must reset MFA (work/school account via tenant admin; personal Microsoft account via the recovery flow). Microsoft support cannot bypass MFA, so recovery depends on having another verification method or recovery code.
