After an overtasked session (even my clock time was wacked), when I reopened Edge (normal close and after reboot), tab groups are no longer displayed with open tabs (vertical tabs). They still exist, as I can see them under Settings and more\Tab groups.
I went into Settings\Appearance\Tabs, and the switch for Show tab groups in favorites bar is on. I tried turning it off and back on again, but they are still missing.
I do not see a Tab groups button.
How do I get my Tab groups to show with open tabs again?

The trick was to show the Favorites bar (I hadn't seen the Tab groups button in the Favorites bar because I wasn't showing the Favorites bar). Then, if the Tab groups button is not showing, right-click on the Favorites bar and select Show tab groups. By clicking on a group name under the Tab groups button, it restores that group to the list of open tabs (at the bottom).

You have to right click on an empty space within the Favorites bar, not on the title bar. That context menu is for when you right-click on the ttitle bar or outside the Favorites bar area.
Aha, I couldn't follow your instructions well because I wasn't showing the Favorites bar. Now I see what you mean, but it didn't make any difference. Show tab groups was selected, and deselecting and reselecting did not reveal the hidden tab groups. However, the Tab groups button is there on the Favorites bar with all my tab groups listed. Then I discovered that if I clicked on a group in the list under the Tab groups button it restored that group to the list of open tabs.
Problem solved. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi,
It appears there's a bug in the latest version of Edge as the button disappeared on my end as well even though the option is enabled. However, you can right click on an empty space in the Favorites bar, and the option Show tab groups should be available. I selected that option and the button appeared again. See if this works on your end.

I tried Restore window, but groups did not show up in the new window either.
