Everytime I share screen in Teams for some time around 15 minutes, it would be stuffed and then the machine would be restarted. I have try to resolve the issue per guides provided by the support channel, include clear teams cache, upgrade Mac OS to latest version, uninstall and reinstall teams. However, the problem still exists. Need live support.

Based on the described behavior and the steps already taken (clearing cache, updating macOS, reinstalling Teams), the issue is likely related to graphics hardware acceleration or the macOS sharing stack rather than Teams cache or installation.

Try these targeted steps on macOS:

    1. Verify GPU hardware acceleration support
      • Open Microsoft Edge and go to edge://gpu/ or open Google Chrome and go to chrome://gpu/.
      • Check whether any key entries show "Software only" or "hardware acceleration unavailable".
      • If so, the system may not be providing hardware acceleration. In that case, contact the device or GPU vendor, as Teams features such as screen sharing and control rely on hardware acceleration and can behave unpredictably when it is unavailable.
    2. Check Teams GPU hardware acceleration setting
      • In Teams, go to Settings > General.
      • Ensure Disable GPU hardware acceleration is not selected.
      • Restart Teams after changing this setting.
      • If the Mac is older or has known GPU issues, test both states (enabled and disabled) to see which avoids the crash/restart while sharing.
    3. Avoid native macOS content sharing (if enabled)
      • In Teams, go to Settings and more > Settings > General > Screen sharing.
      • If Use macOS content sharing is turned on, turn it off and test again.
      • The native macOS sharing experience has known issues with some docking solutions and macOS versions, which can affect sharing stability.
    4. Check for known macOS sharing issues
      • If using a docking station (especially DisplayLink or similar) on macOS 14 or later, disconnect the dock and try sharing directly from the built-in display or a simple HDMI/USB‑C connection.
      • Known issues with docks can affect sharing indicators and control panels and may contribute to instability.
    5. Confirm Teams permissions
      • Go to Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen & System Audio Recording.
      • Ensure Microsoft Teams is enabled.
      • If you change this, restart Teams and test sharing again.
    6. If the Mac is hard‑restarting
      • A full machine restart during screen sharing usually indicates a low‑level OS, driver, or hardware problem (GPU, dock, or display driver), not just the Teams app.
      • After confirming the above, collect macOS crash logs and hardware diagnostics and engage Apple or the device OEM, as well as Microsoft Support, with those logs.

For live support, open a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 admin center (if in an organization) or use the "Still need help?"/"Contact support" options in the Teams or Microsoft support portals so an engineer can review logs from the device.
