Outlook signature has changed spacing

My Mac updated last night and now my signature in outlook has spacing that was not previously there. When I go into the signature tabs to fix this, it appears as normal. How can I change this without changing it every time I create an email?

I had an empty mail in my concepts, when I add one you can see the difference.

And after the latest update:

It happens with all signatures.

Restarted the Mac, and did an update of Outlook (to version 16.106.xxxxxxxx) but to no avail.

May I confirm whether creating a completely new signature helped resolve the issue on your side?

In addition, you may consider installing an Outlook for Mac version earlier than 16.101.xx. You can find these versions in the Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn. In my testing, the issue did not appear when using a version below 16.101.xx

I hope this gives you some additional clarity.

I thought I removed enough already, excuse me.

I installed the older version but when starting I always get the latest version, when I remove the latest will all my settings be gone? How to install the old over the new version?

Opening the signatures, copying them and pasting them in a new signature does solve the problem.

After installing Outlook for Mac with a version earlier than 16.106.xx, please also make sure to disable AutoUpdate.

You can do this by going to: Help > Check for Updates > uncheck “Automatically keep Microsoft Apps up to date.”

Regarding copying and pasting the signature, some formatting elements may not transfer perfectly. Certain layouts, spacing, and styling may require manual adjustments to recreate the original look. Copying and pasting alone may not always reproduce the exact formatting.

I cannot install the older over the newer, the newer stays the default app.

To install an earlier version of Microsoft Outlook for Mac, you will need to remove the currently installed version first.

You can do this by going to Finder > Applications > Microsoft Outlook > right‑clicking it > Move to Trash.

Once the current version is removed, you can install the earlier version by running the updater.pkg file from the version history notes. After installation, make sure to turn off AutoUpdate to prevent Outlook from updating again.

Same here. I tried to "clear all formatting" and then save it but, same problem.... still double spaced.... This bug just happened when I updated MAC software

Frustrating, but if you open the signature in the sig editor, select all and clear formatting it removes the double spacing. I had to manually go through and re-format the areas that I wanted bolded etc.

If you go to your signatures and delete one line and then add back the same line it will

solve the double space issue.

When will Microsoft fix this bug with the new release as I also have the same issue? My signature now is now double spaced since new release on MacOS Outlook.

If I copy from the area I edit signatures it doesn't have the issue. It will take me too long to re-create my signature.

Please advise.

I tried to reproduce your situation on my test Mac running macOS Sequoia 15.7.1 with Outlook for Mac version 16.106, and the signature did not show the spacing you described.

To better understand your situation, may I clarify the following?

Does this behavior also appear in Legacy Outlook for Mac?
What is your current macOS version and Outlook for Mac version?

In the meantime, you may try creating a completely new signature to see whether the behavior persists.

If all other troubleshooting steps do not help, you may also consider uninstalling Outlook for Mac and reinstalling it using the updater.pkg, which can be downloaded from: Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn

Thank you. I had actually created a new signature and that seemed to have corrected the problem. The signature is correct so I deleted the old one.
