How can I install a printer driver on my surface pro with ARM. I cannot print without installing a cable.

My HP printer is supposed to a wireless set up but It will not detect the printer and driver. Any substitute for the printer driver for a Surface Pro 11 with ARM?

Idk if this will help, but I barely managed to install my printer with the same issue, using HP Easy Start.

Actually the program didn't detect the printer, but when I install it, suddenly on my Windows' printer and scanner settings, I can see the printer driver being installed.

For me, the USB connection doesn't work, only the wireless.

I tried HP SUPD too, but for some reason it didn't work for me.

Oh yes, and print using Print System Dialogue will help if you get MS Edge spooling issue.

    Try HP SUPD

The HP Smart UPD offers ARM based drivers.

To install a printer driver on your Surface Pro 11 with an ARM processor, follow these steps:

    1. Check for Compatible Drivers: Ensure that the printer driver you need is designed for ARM-based devices. Most common drivers are available, but some specialized hardware may require verification for compatibility.
    2. Use Windows Settings: If your HP printer is supposed to be set up wirelessly but is not detected, you can try installing the printer through Windows settings:
      • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
      • Click on Add a printer or scanner and see if your printer appears in the list. If it does, follow the prompts to install it.
    3. Install via Manufacturer's Website: If the printer is not detected, visit the HP website to download the latest driver specifically for ARM devices, if available.
    4. Use Generic Drivers: If you cannot find a specific driver, you can try using a generic driver that supports the same printer emulation as your printer. This can sometimes allow basic printing functionality even if it is not optimal.
    5. Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, Windows Update can provide the necessary drivers for your printer. Make sure your system is up to date.
    6. Use App Assure: If you continue to experience issues, consider using the App Assure program, which provides assistance with app compatibility on Windows 10 and Windows 11 ARM devices.

If you follow these steps and still cannot print, you may need to explore alternative solutions or contact HP support for further assistance regarding driver compatibility with ARM devices.
