Test your charger on someone else's Surface and vice versa. Then you will know for certain. If it is the charger, get an official Microsoft Charger, not a third party one. You can use a USB-C 3.0 charger supporting PD (power delivery) 60W or higher. A phone charger won't work. Surface 3 laptop charger
I have a Microsoft Surface 3 laptop, the charger has been a bit off for a while but now it's not charging at all, the LED light on the magentic part isn't on. I was going to purchase a new charger but is there anything I need to know before getting a new charger? I'm working within a budget & I was worried I'd waste my money if it's the laptop & not the charger itself. Is there a way to find out? Does it need to be a branded charger too? (I think I prefer the USB port chargers over the magnetic ones because it's caused me nothing but trouble with how unrelable it is with it's wonky charging!).
Sorry, I'm not the most tech savvy, so I'm not sure if any of this makes sense!
Thanks in advance.
