Close Camera app, and anything using tabs using camera

    Restart Zoom

If it keeps happening → restart the PC before an important meeting

Open Zoom > Settings > Video > Advanced > Turn off

    • Hardware acceleration for video processing
    • Hardware acceleration for sending video
    • Restart Zoom

Camera freezing or lagging during Zoom or Teams meetings can be caused by several factors. Here are some potential reasons and solutions:

    1. Camera Configuration: Ensure that your camera is properly configured and not mistakenly set as a content camera in the app settings.
    2. USB Connection Issues: If you are using a USB camera, check the connection. Avoid using USB extenders if possible, as they can introduce latency. Ensure the USB cable is securely connected and meets the specifications of the camera.
    3. Power Supply: Many cameras require an external power supply. Make sure that the power supply is connected if your camera needs it.
    4. Driver Updates: Keeping your camera drivers and firmware up to date is crucial for optimal performance. Check for updates through Windows Update or your device management tools.
    5. System Performance: High CPU usage during video calls can lead to lag. Ensure that your system is not overloaded with other processes while in a meeting.
    6. Network Issues: Poor internet connectivity can also cause video lag. Make sure you have a stable and fast internet connection.
    7. Frame Server Mode: Disabling Frame Server Mode in Windows can help resolve issues with webcam functionality. This can be done by modifying a registry key, but ensure to reboot your system after making changes.

If the problem persists after trying these solutions, consider contacting your peripheral manufacturer for further assistance.
