I have a Surface Laptop Studio and need to turn off Smart Charging. How do I do that?

    Smart Charging (as opposed to Battery Limit) can be paused but not disabled. Open the Surface App User's image

    expand battery & charging, click/tap Charge to 100%.

    You should use the feedback hub app to file a suggestion to enable disabling Smart Charging Completely (which others have done).

    1. Shut down your Surface Laptop Studio completely.
    2. Access the Surface UEFI by holding the Volume Up button, then pressing and releasing the Power button while continuing to hold Volume Up until the Surface logo and UEFI screen appear.
    3. Navigate to the Boot Configuration tab and locate the Battery or Battery Limit option.
    4. Change the Battery Limit setting to Disabled to enable full battery charging.
    5. Save your settings and exit the UEFI—your Surface will restart with Smart Charging disabled.
