Using the latest Edge browser in Android 16 on a Pixel 7a (this has been an issue since I got the phone on Android 14). Every time I need to upload a document/file on a webpage, I get the popup No access, please allow access in your settings. But when I go to Edge settings, there is no option to allow access to files. I have already given access to Photos and Videos. Why isn't there an option for permissions to access and upload files? It is very annoying to get stopped each time a form or similar requires a file attachment and Edge not allowing it. If I go to the Android setting "All Files Access" Edge is not there, and there is no way to add it either.

Hi Magnus,
On Android 11 and later, apps need special “All Files Access” permission to browse arbitrary files, but Edge does not request this permission for privacy reasons. Instead, it uses Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF), which should open the system file picker. If the site uses a custom upload script, Edge cannot handle it and shows the “No access” error. Edge does not appear in the “All Files Access” list because only apps that declare MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE in their manifest are shown, and Edge does not include that permission. You can report this issue directly from Edge via Menu > Settings > Help & Feedback > Send Feedback.
