In Windows File Explorer, it seems the only ways to hide the Navigation pane are using the mouse or a long key sequence.

Arrow Right x 2 (to reach "Weergave" / "View")
ENTER (to open the menu)
ARROW down x 10 (to reach submenu "Weergave" / "View"
ENTER (ot open submenu)
ENTER (to select "navigatievenster" / "navigation pane"
Is there a quicker way to toggle the Navigation pane?

i'm interested the same, does anyone can help?
In Windows File Explorer, you can quickly toggle the Navigation pane using the keyboard shortcut Alt + V followed by N. This sequence will open the View menu and directly toggle the Navigation pane without needing to navigate through multiple menus.
