I've had a Microsoft Surface Book for about 5 Months and all of a sudden my headphones stopped working; meaning no sound whatsoever through my headphones while plugged in. doesn't matter what headphones i plug in the Audio devices control panel says there't nothing plugged in. my best guess is that its a hardware problem but i don't understand why or know what i can do about it. is there even a troubleshooter for this type of problem?

    I don't see that you've tried a two button reset -

Step 1:    Press and hold the power button on your Surface for 30 seconds and then

    release it.

Step 2:    Press and hold the volume-up button and the power button at the same

time for at least 15 seconds and then release both.

The screen may flash the Surface logo, but continue holding the buttons

down for at least 15 seconds.

Step 3:    After you release the buttons, wait 10 seconds.

Step 4:    Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You

    should see the Surface logo.

Also, is anything banged out in device manager for audio devices?

    Hi,

Try running the Diagnostic toolkit to see if that can resolve the sound problem.
